dawn’s edge to the night;
flamingo-flecked vapour trail -
a clock is ticking.

distant mountains seen
through downward-racing raindrops -
late for a meeting.

dusk bleeding on light;
scarlet ridge on stratus sky -
hi gang, Daddy’s home.

frost formed on blue-black
shadows, hints of the outside.
goodnight Son. Love you…
